What did the client ask for?
Nargis came to us to set up spa services in Dubai.
Spa activities have to be carried out from premises inside a five-star hotel. That space is expensive, and most of the time it is simply not available.
Why was a spa licence the wrong one?
The requirement nobody could meet
A spa licence ties the activity to premises inside a five-star hotel. On that route the file stops at the lease, not at the licence, and no amount of paperwork moves it.
- She asked for
- A spa licence
- She needed
- A residence visa
- Requirement removed
- Five-star premises
We only found out it did not matter by asking what the company was for. She needed to sponsor her own residence visa. Operating a spa was not the point.
How did DMCS help her get the licence and her visa?
Asked what the licence was actually for
At consultationThe requirement that looked impossible was attached to an activity she did not need. Once the purpose was residency, a different activity did the same job.
Reserved the trade name at DET
The first step of the mainland setup, filed against the revised activity rather than the original one.
Signed the MOA at DET
Nargis attended DET with our staff to sign the memorandum of association.
Submitted the lease and took the licence
The lease agreement was submitted and the trade licence issued against it.
Started the residence visa
With the licence issued, the visa process she had come for began.
What did the client get?
Licence issued in ten working days
- Activity changed before filing, not after
- No five-star hotel premises required
- Residence visa process started on the new licence
- Client satisfied with the service
